Rorschach in Metal

Salve

How could learn from today nerdcore.de , the famous Rorschach test pictures at Wikipedia to find, as they now are not subject to copyright everything. No question that I had to think on this issue not to shape it into a long entry in which I will follow my interpretation of the images:

Plate 1: It reminds me of the great philosophers Batman !

Plate 2: is These are my humble opinion, clearly a scene from a wild mosh pit meet each other mercilessly in the two bodies and the collected energy flows in a fountain of blood that absolutely uncontrolled splashing around!

Plate 3: Here we see Gene Hoglan at work - namely, the fat is for 2, but also plays at least twice as fast as everyone else.

Plate 4: This requires a little imagination, but if you can play the times, you may still find it, that's the guy from Razor "Evil Invaders" in the view from the front:

Plate 5: may Piledriver from behind while he drags two Poser over the stage?

Plate 6: That's the bass guitar from the video of Type O Negative "Black No. 1":

Plate 7: similarities to Sepultura "Against" are of little denying the obvious:

Plate 8: "Let The Witches Burn" by Sacred Steel - unfortunately, I can offer no link. Therefore, please insert in place the corresponding album !

Plate 9: Here we see a more recent recording of Spirit in the image:

Plate 10: go at this work of art to me only the following words to mind: "Are not Durer's praying hands in the end ... a triangle?"
And who now can still provide the source of this quote, before I take my hat - with a swing!

likelihood of confusion: Black Sabbath - The Wizard and the whistle of a passing steam train

Salve

Hereby I introduce a new category where I want to reveal certain parallels in songs. I've been thinking a few things, but I would start with a very recent example: I have just stumbled on television over a report on a steam train that their typical Whistle on his own and I felt gave me a moment to the incredibly "The Wizard" by Black Sabbath reminds - you'd think the harmonica in this piece tries to imitate a train whistle such.

Thus, each a picture of themselves here, such a train whistle - unfortunately this does not sound quite as perfect as those just on TV, but you can already get some idea of what I mean:

And now to compare the song of Black Sabbath:

Is not that amazing? I am at this moment whether my incredible musical mind even surprised!

Book Review: Jerry Bloom - Black Knight

Salve

I'm a really big fan of musicians' biographies and what Jerry Bloom delivered with his work is amazing.
to read biographies for me is always the sense that the people behind the musicians know something better: his career, his motivations, his background - anything that helps one understand the music behind it even better.
There are several types of biographies: some are a series of terrific stories you as ordinary people living on earth in this number so never expected to do. This includes books like Mötley Crües "The Dirt" or Lemmy Kilmister "White Line Fever" .
Others are written by outside adulation of legends. Such times have I by Guns N 'Roses tries to read and it was so terrible that I do not have the 30 page came out and had long since forgotten how the book was called for. For all the love for music must be in writing of such a work but always true ncoh a certain distance, which in this case went thoroughly into the pants.
And then there are biographies as just Jerry Bloom's "Black Knight" the guitar master Ritchie Blackmore .

Man muss schon eine gewisse Faszination an seiner Person oder wie in meinem Falle seiner Musik empfinden, so you have at this point his joy.
I want to warn everyone against this book, which has particularly interested in the person of Ritchie Blackmore: You can be disappointed really deep. His penchant for nasty tricks and his self-centeredness are known, but what you get to read this book takes the biscuit, sometimes from the ground. One can often only look with horror at the "Man in Black" and it is almost impossible to understand the motivations for many of his deeds.

makes to go into the contents of little sense, because everyone should be interested in the slightest with the major stations of Ritchie Blackmore and who are familiar band names such as Deep Purple or Rainbow say anything, the help is no longer available.

Download Tip: Trapped Under Vice Vol I

Salve

Fenriz, his character has always been bedrock of Norwegian black metal scene has thrown together a thrash sampler that has it all. Represented are about my favorites of the brutal Thrash Morbid Saint . Like a good friend once described it so aptly: If Slayer is Marlboro, then Morbid Saint Black Krause, no bag!
are also represented by the Ulm Poison that one but please do not be confused with the American band Poser. The grand
Minotaur can also be found with a song, but unfortunately not the der Überhit "Necromancer" ist - macht nix: Auch der Rest von denen kann sich hören lassen!

01. Necrovore (USA) ‘Mutilated Death’ (1987)
02. Mental Decay (Denmark) ‘Eat the Posers Guts’ (1987)
03. Pentagram (Chile) ‘Profaner’ (1987)
04. Necrodeath (Italy) ‘Agony/Flag of the Inverted Cross’ (1987)
05. Morbid (Sweden) ‘Wings of Funeral’ (1987)
06. Poison (Germany) ‘Yog-Sothoth’ (1987)
07. Devastation (USA) ‘Devastation’ (1987)
08. Merciless (Sweden) ‘The Awakening’ (1989)
09. Minotaur (Germany) ‘Fall of the Gods’ (1988)
10. Mutilated (France) ‘Funerarium’ (1988)
11. Deathhammer (Norway) ‘Toxic Radiation’ (2008)
12. Obliveon (Canada) ‘Whimsical Uproar’ (1987)
13. Obscurity (Sweden) ‘Demented’ (1987)
14. Morbid Saint (USA) ‘Beyond the Gates of Hell’ (1988)
15. Vulcano (Brazil) ‘Guerreiros de Sata’ (2003)
16. Whiplash (USA) 'The Burning of Atlanta "(1985)
17th Inferno (Norway) 'Thrash Metal Dogs of Hell' (2004)
18th Aura Noir (Norway) Iron Night / Torment Storm '(2008)

The title of the compilation of "Trapped Under Vice Vol I" which raises hope that there will be more such projects in future.

I would like Fenriz attest to this point, a first-class taste, which has unfortunately not had an impact on his choice of tattoos and swimwear:

And before I forget to mention that: The best news would still come: The sampler is here to download. I can only put your heart to start the download on the spot and then turn up loud!
friends of the old school thrash, I guarantee that they will regret for a second.
