What had I got myself this evening. Already on the tour in March new songs from the new Sacred Steel album could be heard and it was clear that they would feel in the camp of the band back to tradition, therefore to throw a release party and concert. However, months went by and there were only piecemeal News to hear. But a few weeks it was ready and the concert was for 22 Announced in October. But not enough of the fact that there would be another release show, so there were a few conditions that could increase the anticipation even more: The fact that the concert would be on a Thursday and therefore increase during the week was more than sufficient so balanced, that the whole was held to free admission. As surprised and delighted I was happy about the fact that in addition to the powerful Sacred Steel also Dawn Of Winter vocalist Gerrit and thus would be seen in two capacities.

At some point it finally happened and the long expected and awaited Thursday was hot. The much smaller atmosphere there is the incredibly intense music from Dawn Of Winter just much better to face. But I never want to talk to the presence RoFa bad. There was also a terrific concert by a powerful band that could gather a surprisingly large number of bangers from the stage.

Sacred Steel and play not just heavy metal, like all the other bands: this band is the incarnation of Heavy Metal. The next time I will ask a non-metalhead, which is metal and what it means to me I will play for him in response to Wargods Of Metal - should have any questions then this person will never understand all this. ; back to the concert: The right start was then started with "Carnage Rules The Fields Of Death" - can there be anything better? I had the band at least at this point on their side and a spell over me that made me enjoy the rest of the concert in a trance. What followed was another older song, and "Charge Into Overkill" the first new piece; But that has not played for the first time live and therefore at least a small circle was known. Unfortunately I have to admit that the song in itself is not much convinced me - of course this was only the first run, but at some point it was missing some oomph to the song - let's see if this feeling on the album then confirmed or adjusted. Dawn Of Winter and Spiritus Mortis Live in Stuttgart

After the Hammer Of Doom II last Saturday went without me on the stage, I still took the time being not even last one, but still rare chance, Dawn Of Winter on stage to see. Since I have not seen in Wuerzburg, of course I can not make comparisons, but I would still be carried away to the theory that it was probably much more intense here than in a much larger hall.

I came just at the beginning of the first song in the small Cape Tormentoso , that was made for an event of this kind, it was small and quiet and had just the right size, that before the stage was not too tight, but then again, no huge gaping holes - just a very intimate venue, which I certainly do not has seen the last!

Dawn Of Winter a number of songs from her last album "The Peaceful Dead" played , all of which were well received. Some even slightly pressed on the gas, but the doom reigned throughout. It took some time with me, but I guess I will also so slow to Doomkopf!

It is probable that the same setlist as the Hammer of Doom II was played down, since, according to Gerrit singer at the next concert in the absence of sufficient time to sample also the same songs will be unleashed on the crowd. An absolutely amazing band that put an incredible intensity in every second of the day, carried the little Locaton only increased.

Overall a great night with lots of nice people who were close to only positive reactions to my KISS-cowl, which I think is a pure Doom evening like yesterday's for anything but a given.

is the end for me the question why there are not more events like this: One or two relatively small bands, which one observes that they just want to play put on a small stage, do not charge admission, and you've got a bait that works well even during the week, remember how much was on last Monday. When the band then last year for a concert in Tübingen for me it was only a matter of course to visit this and I have not looked back. Dickie Peterson was full of energy and was amazed how this man had on stage many a young boy on the wall can play. As part of this tour, moreover, a concert was recorded by Rockpalast .
